About C-Section Scar Revision
During your initial consultation with Dr. Adams, you will discuss the best possible method for achieving your goals. At CFPS, we offer different C-section scar revision options based on the severity of your scarring.
The severity of C-section scarring differs between guests. Some women with less visible scarring may only require the use of topical creams and at-home skin healing remedies.
Others may require a slightly more hands-on approach with laser treatment, which helps stimulate collagen production in the skin and repairs damaged skin cells. This leads to a more uniform appearance.
The final option we offer to guests with severe and noticeable scarring is revision surgery. Dr. Adams will re-open the C-section scar, then carefully stitch it back together. This process significantly reduces the surface area of the scar and the amount of skin that needs to heal. As a result, when the body closes the new incision, it can do so in a more uniform manner with a much less visible scar.
