FAQ: Buttock Augmentation (Brazilian Butt Lift)
A BBL uses fat transfer, which means your own fat is used to create volume. This often results in a more natural look and feel. Glute implants, on the other hand, involve inserting silicone implants into the buttocks. At our practice, we specialize in fat transfer techniques and do not currently offer buttock implants.
Ideal candidates are in good overall health, have realistic expectations, and have enough excess fat in other areas of the body to harvest for transfer. It's also important to be a non-smoker and at or near a stable weight for the best outcome and recovery.
Typically, about 60–80% of the transferred fat survives long-term. Dr. Adams uses refined techniques to maximize fat survival and achieve natural, lasting results. Some volume loss is normal, which is factored into your surgical plan.
Yes. Many guests choose to combine a BBL with procedures like tummy tuck, liposuction, or breast surgery for a more comprehensive body contouring result. During your consultation, Dr. Adams will help you determine the right combination based on your anatomy and goals.
